Jenkins — Level by Level
Jenkins still runs a large share of the world's builds. Learn how it's built, write declarative pipelines, build and publish container images, trigger builds from pull requests, share pipeline code across teams, run ephemeral agents on Kubernetes, and operate the controller securely: configuration as code, credentials, plugins, backups and upgrades.
What you'll be able to do
- Explain the controller, agents, executors and plugins, and install Jenkins on Docker or Kubernetes
- Write declarative pipelines with stages, conditions, parameters and credentials
- Build, test, scan and publish container images from a pipeline
- Build every branch and pull request automatically with multibranch pipelines and webhooks
- Reuse pipeline code across teams with shared libraries
- Run the controller as code, securely, with backups and safe upgrades

How it works
Each lesson: plain-language idea → how it really works → hands-on. Each section ends with a cheat sheet & self-check.
Curriculum
Lessons marked “Read” are ready; the rest are on the way.

Real-world scenarios
Work through each one: symptom → misleading signal → evidence → root cause → prevention.
Workspaces, build history and artifacts filled the volume. Recover and prevent it.
Roll back safely, then set up a tested upgrade routine.
Find how, rotate, and stop it happening again.
